The PMSE Emerging Professionals Symposium features invited oral presentations by honorees who have made significant contributions and shown leadership in their fields within polymer materials science and engineering and are applying to industry and national laboratory positions during that year. Selected Emerging Professionals honorees will each provide a technical talk describing past and ongoing research and briefly mention their future research interests. Additionally, they will be invited to participate in a networking reception with one another, mentors, keynote speakers, and selected invited guests from the broad range of sectors represented by PMSE.
PMSE hopes to build a successful annual symposium for graduate students interested in careers within industry or national laboratories. This symposium seeks to complement the PMSE Future Faculty Symposium focused towards academic positions and the PMSE Early Investigator Symposium which honors early-career polymeric material science researchers from academia, industry, and national laboratories.
